TRAINING CAMP MISSION:  We train students within the Shaolin philosophy and principle to be able to meet internal and external life challenges, to be empowered to overcome any life obstacles and be a person of great character, one with high discipline and great confidence, ready to pave their way to the future.

As Shi DeRu has expressed:  “Life is not easy. To be a champion in life is even more challenging. Shaolin training here is only for those who are willing to face their fears and have the courage to rise above them.”

CAMP SCHEDULE:

All camps start June 4th 2012.

Early Registration starts April 1st, 2012.

TRAINING OPTIONS:

Shaolin Warrior Youth Resident Camp Package:  6-8 weeks, full-time, on-site attendance (limited room  provided). Eight Week Option Includes Oriental Dream, US/China Cultural Exchange Ambassadors Program,  travelling to China and training at the Shaolin Temple. Each Student will be able to train directly with the two original Shaolin Temple Family Grand Masters: ShiDeRu and Shi DeYang.  Oriental Dream participation is aoptional. Students may also choose to attend Resident Camp on week to week basis. (Info & registration link).

For Warrior Youth Resident summer camp students:

The first part of the camp will be in the United States from June 4th to July 13th .

The second part of the camp will be held in China from July 16th to July 30th .

The 2nd part is optional for Part-Time students. Space availability to Part-time campers for China training will depend on number of Full-time camp registrations. The numbers of space are limited.

Shaolin Youth Day Camp:. Tailored to youth with ages divided in 3 groups.  Students must arrange for their own daily transportation to and from the training camp location. We have two options, a 5-day, Mon-Fri Day camp and a 6-day, Mon-Sat, extended Day camp. Please consult with (more info link)

Shaolin Warrior Intensive Training:  For Serious Students Only. Full-time on-site boarding required. Camp runs July 6th – July 13th. Based on 7-day & 7-night Shaolin experience, this training is only for those who are intrigued by true Shaolin high level discipline and for students who are willing to meet tougher challenges.

“Of course, this Shaolin training camp is not, and cannot be for just any youth.” explains the Chief Coordinator of Shaolin Institute, “The camp will not only train youth in personal safety, leadership skills, good character and discipline; but also train them with various tests and trials to meet today’s global challenges, understanding and experiencing oriental cultural differences.”

SHAOLIN TEMPLE TRAINING:  Included in the Full-Time Shaolin Warrior Camp. Depending upon number of Full-time camp registrations, part-time camp students meeting international travel requirements will be given the opportunity to experience two weeks of Shaolin Pre-Disciple Warrior Training at the Shaolin Temple, China from July 16th – July30th.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: For these special training sessions, LIU International Shi DeRu Shaolin Institute will provide limited full & partial scholarships for those qualified families and individuals who meet the school’s stated academic minimums and who’s talents merit attendance and training. There are two kinds of scholarships available:

1. Academic-character scholarship

2. Financial-character scholarship.

TRAINING CAMP LOCATIONS:  There will be two United States training camp locations: the LIU International Shi DeRu Shaolin Institute campus in Mobile, Alabama; and the Shaolin Institute campus in Atlanta, Georgia.

 

ACADEMIC & PHYSICAL TRAINING:  The philosophies and wisdom of the Shaolin temple will be studied and discussed throughout camp period to give each student a chance to grow spiritually, physically and mentally as a true Shaolin warrior.

Shi DeRu Shaolin Institute Instructors & Future Masters Program:  There will also be a Shaolin instructors and future masters program for qualified students. Training with the two descendants of the original Shaolin family and close disciples of the Great Grandmaster of the Shaolin Temple in this century, Shi SuXi, is a very rare opportunity for any serious martial arts student.

Grand Master Shi Deru, a 31st generation descendant of the Shaolin Temple has passed down not only the knowledge of Shaolin Wisdom and the physical martial skills, but the benefits of Shaolin life-skills That wisdom and skills will be passed on to each and every student through his knowledgeable instructors.

He has been featured on Chinese Central TV & other Chinese international networks with more than 10 episodes of documentary films entitled: “The Shaolin Legend Master Shi DeRu (Shawn Liu), The Father of Kung Fu Sanda for America”.

He was also featured in dozens of articles in many international magazines both in Chinese and English languages as well as 2 International Martial Arts magazine covers.

Shaolin Martial Arts & Cultural Summer Training Camp 2012

Day Camp

The summer day camp welcomes both youth and teens. They will be divided into three major groups:

Group 1,  5-7 years old

Group 2  8-11 years old

Group3,  12-17 years old

Features of training:

Character:

Students will learn respect, discipline, focus, honor,  and perseverance. Our motto is “Team up; never give up.”

Basic mental and physical skills:

Students will learn personal safety, mind-body awareness, physical conditioning, strength, cardio, and physical coordination, power and speed

Kungfu Skills:

Traditional Shaolin forms, self-defense maneuvers, situation escapes,

Acrobatic & Gymnastic skills: head stand, rolls, cart wheel and other basic tabling skills.

Traditional Shaolin forms, both defense and offense skills. You will learn that with a high level of discipline and strong character, you can make a difference in the lives of people around you.

Chinese (Mandarin) Language studies:

Basic phonetics (Ping Yin), basic conversation, and writing in important Chinese character

Each child’s progress will be rated against his/her own base at the end of each week. All students must get a B in order to get certificate.
